Many people tend to use disk drives as backups or to store music and other digital files. Hard disk drives (HDDs) are very useful devices, but it is very inconvenient to access a data drive. Even though these devices come with a CD drive, it’s not the best device to store digital files.

Digital files need to be accessed quickly and frequently to make sure that they remain in good condition. That’s why the manufacturers of the HDD have come up with the Solid State Drive (SSD).

The difference between HDD and SSD is the internal drive, which uses electric circuit instead of a traditional disk drive. The data on an HDD is recorded on a physical Hdd destroyer medium, usually a hard disk platter, whereas an SSD does not require a physical medium.

Therefore, an HDD has a large mechanical drive that reads and writes data to an attached platter; in contrast, an SSD consists of multiple memory chips that are connected to a controller, like a CPU.

An SSD is faster than a HDD and uses less energy. Since these devices do not use a rotating disk, they do not contain a spindle motor or a read/write head like the HDD. Instead, an SSD uses flash memory to record and read data. An SSD has no moving parts, making it more reliable and durable than the HDD.
